Summer Leisure

Tomorrow, July 22, is Summer Leisure Day. Unfortunately, like I mentioned last week, things kind of got in the way of my summer plans.

However, I still have found some time to enjoy myself. This past weekend, I was able to celebrate my graduation with friends and family. It was a great time, and I was super grateful for everyone who came out. I also celebrated a close family friend’s birthday (and at this point, I consider them family).

This week, I am kind of letting myself have no responsibilities. I’m still going to the gym, but I am allowing myself time to sleep in and kind of relax.

The other thing that I am doing this wee is watching all the Star Wars movies in chronological order. I can’t tell you the last time that I watched any of them except for the new ones. So, that’s what I decided to do.

I know this summer got messed up. I know things did not happen the way they should have. But life goes on. We adapt, work through, and hope for the best.

There are still things you can do to have fun. It’s nice to relax. I know the summer is ending, and I don’t know what the future holds as the world changes from this. But I do know this: each day is still yours.

Life is meant to be enjoyed. Not excessively and indulgently, but you’re also not meant to suffer all the time. Find your own ways to have fun. As I mentioned last week, it is important to be able to get away and de-stress. Along with that, it’s also important to be able to have fun. Watch movies, play games, do things that make you happy.

Find time to have fun, especially in the midst of the chaos. Tomorrow is Summer Leisure day. Don’t get so caught up in life that you can’t take time to enjoy it. Work is not the only thing that is important in life. I know this post is short, but that’s because I am having fun and enjoying life rather than spending lots of time being responsible.
