30 Day Workouts (11/20/18)

I’m actually not cooking this week, so I can’t share a current recipe this week. I could share a previous recipe but I’m not really feeling that. Instead, I want to talk about exercise.

I mention frequently that I work out pretty often. I don’t have a set routine that I stick to. When I’m in the gym, I get my cardio in through the recumbent bike, but that’s about the only consistent part of my workout routine. So what do I do? Well, I do 30-day workout routines. This way, I get to mix up the exercises I do. That being said, I have some criteria for myself that I follow when looking for these workouts:

  • No burpees- I hate doing burpees. So I don’t want to do them
  • Some form of abs work- I’m really working on my core and improving that area. So I always make sure I have some kind of abs
  • Squats or some other leg workout- That’s another area I’m trying to improve. So that’s what I look for.

You may have different criteria than me. But you don’t want something too hard. Trust me, I’ve been there. Start easy and work your way up. Most of the ones I do are just bodyweight, but once I build up, then I’ll add 5-10lbs. of weight. These 30-day plans don’t always provide the most dramatic results, but I’ve definitely seen improvement in my body because of what I’m doing. Pinterest has a ton of ideas for what you’re looking for.
