Starting Fresh

It has been an absolutely crazy week since I last wrote! The big news is that I moved! I’m renting a house, and I’m so excited about the whole thing.

This is the such a new adventure for me. I’m pretty settled in my job, paying down my car,, and getting to be a functional adult, and this was the next step for me.

I’ve talked before on money and how I manage it and things like that. And now it’s time to actually put that into practice. I got a lot more bills and things to take care of than I have before.

But all that being said, I’m not overly concerned about it. I know I’m going to be okay, and I truly love the house.

I’m looking at this move as a chance to start fresh and figure things out. I know I’ve mentioned many times on here that I’ve figured out a lot of things and still have a lot to figure out. And that’s always going to be the case. That’s life.

But now, I need to figure out a way to be an independent adult. And that’s how I look at this house. I’ve got my first year of teaching under my belt, and I know I love what I do. I bought a car last year that I am aggressively paying down that will be paid off (hopefully) here soon. So now, renting a house and living more independently is the next logical step.

That’s why I’m looking at this move as starting fresh. I’m figuring things out, moving forward, and learning who I want to be. I was fortunate to get a job right out of college that I’m still at.

Starting fresh doesn’t have to wait until New Years. It’s not about a specific starting point. It’s more about what you do with the time you have and choose a place to start.

As always, the only story I’m authorized to tell is my own. I don’t know where you’re at on things. But I do know that you can pick any time and any day to start fresh. Big events, like moves, are nice but not required. Starting fresh happens right where you’re at. The biggest thing it takes is your mindset and determination. Change starts right where you are and what you do with it.

It’s going to be an adventure, and I’m sure I’ll have lots of stories to tell about my house. But for now, I’m enjoying the chance to be starting fresh!
